Urban Neon Dystopia – Virtual Production for Anthony Ocean
For the debut music video of singer-songwriter Anthony Ocean, I designed an intricate, neon-lit urban environment tailored specifically for virtual production. This project merges creative vision with technical expertise and is optimized for real-time rendering in a cutting-edge production pipeline.

The environment was crafted to be versatile for use across multiple camera perspectives, with a highlight being a fully immersive 360° version designed for screens and VR headsets. The goal was to create a believable dystopian atmosphere that supports visual storytelling while accommodating dynamic camera movements.
Technical Focus lied on optimized for real-time rendering, the entire scene is designed to integrate seamlessly into a virtual production pipeline, balancing performance and visual fidelity.
The setting, a derelict urban downtown bathed in vibrant neon lights, features approximately 400 unique assets, including:
- Skyscrapers and buildings with striking neon accents
- Barriers, signs, and billboards
- Rusty car wrecks and scattered trash
